MSI has revealed their new GTX 980Ti Golden Edition. Is is just me or does this look more like a copper edition?

I must say I have a real soft spot for the new 980 classy kingpin. The one that's all copper, it's gorgeous.

MSI are just encroaching IMO. That said I *think* MSI used to do copper versions long before EVGA. IIRC they did a 560ti or something around that era.

TBH for me i would take the Classy over this 9 times out of 10

Just seen on Farcebook and thought it was their image borking that did it, but it truly does look orange. I was expecting the same gold effect like the Asus Strix 20th Anniversary edition.

You think the Kingpins glaring copper looks good ? That's it, I've lost faith in humanity

You know what would be truly awesome? A pure silver heatsink.

It wouldn't come cheap, but silver is actually one of the best electrically and thermally conductive materials. Gold would work pretty well too.

Price would be kind of high though.... ^_^

Silver tarnishing over time wouldn't help either.

To be honest the graphics card or motherboard could be flaming pink or shit brown for all I care, since my case doesn't have a window.

If it did, it might be a different story, but it doesn't.
