MSI r6950 screen flicker

Guys,

I've installed the 12.10 drivers and i'm now getting screen flicker on my monitor. Apparently this is a know issue with some ati cards. I've also installed the latest 12.11 beta 6 drivers to see if it would solve the issue but it hasn't.

I did use sapphire trixx to overclock the card and have restored the over clocks to the cards normal specs, but still even when this isn't even on, i still get screen flicker.

The screen flicker only happens on the desktop, and in we browsers, not in a game.

Any insight into this would be much appreciated.

has your monitor got dynamic contrast ratio on? my aoc monitor seems to flicker if i leave that on. also make sure the cables are all connected fully. could be the problem.

I have put the monitor back to default and it still flickers

Is it connected by VGA? And does it only do it during gaming?

First check the cable take another cable with the same monitor, then test another monitor, then test on another board - if you're able too. If the problem is still exsisting demount the cooler and use the oven trick.
