MSI MPOWER Z77 w/ i7 3770K

Hey all, I recently began overclocking journey with my 3770K and, after following the OC3D Z77 OC guide, found that while using OCCT, I cannot seem to get a decent OC without the test failing. For example, i used a fixed voltage of 1.18V and tried to get a 4.4 OC. After ~1hr 45 minutes, the test failed (set to 1 hr.). I was wondering if Vdroop might be having an effect on this. I've attached pics of the results for the Vcore. Any tips for a newbie would be much appreciated!

Try lowering the clock speed. Go for 30mins. If it stays stable then go for at least 4 hours. Generally i like to get it stable to 8 hours but if i am really pushing the OC i like to go for 12hrs. Make sure your cooling is up for the job though.

Also if your temps go over 85C for a little too long OCCT automatically shuts down the test. You can go to settings and change it though if you would like. No higher than 90C. That is bad for haswell.. 85C is honestly pushing it.

Edit: Ivy not haswell. Still bad either way.

Also, OP... That image is way too small.

Raise the voltage a bit as long as your cooling is up to it, make sure the CPU runs 4.4 constantly (no turbo mode), get rid of the droop if possible, make sure that power saving crap is disabled, make sure the ram isn't causing failure, maybe if it is on 2133MHz or something like that then try lowering it. Maybe you've done all this, I'm just throwing ideas out these, I can't explain how to do any of this as I have short term memory and I have to re-learn overclocking every time I get a new chip, I've never read tutorials or watched videos either. I go to the BIOS and use my tablet to google/wiki every single thing in there :p

I tried running 4.4GHz at 1.2 V, and it stayed stable in OCCT for an hour. however, once I ran the test for 3 hours, it stopped at 2hrs and 36min saying "Error Detected on Core #3". What could possibly be the cause of this? (btw, my RAM is 8GB Patriot 1600 MHz and the timings are 9-9-9-24 if that helps).
 
What were the temps? That is most likely the cause and also check online for the error code. May have a detailed answer.

Was this test with AVX?
 
I didn't do anything to the voltage on 4.4GHz, I just turned the LLC to +25%.
On Auto with +25% LLC, the max Vcore is 1.208 V.
But if I try to squeeze 4.6 to 4.8 out of this CPU I need something around 1.3 V and more.
My CPU is not a good clocker, it's already delidded.
