MSI Launches the GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lightning Graphics Card

Based on reviews popping up already, this card has been getting outstanding FPS in certain applications, but mostly on par with the Zotax extreme AMP edition. Even still thats a cool 20fps above the reference model on average.

However it seems that the overclocking while good, was a little disappointing on this board. Considering what this card is aka "the lightning" I did expect a little more oomph for the price.

If only all the yellow parts were RGB leds. Still have to admit, its a tad underwhelming compared to its predecessors. Then again, the 980ti didnt really have many problems to begin with, so not much to improve really.

Samsung memory chips would have been a good addition.

Ah the OCD is strong with this one :D

I've fixed it.

wraith stop me from going mad, yaay.
The "OC" written in yellow is the least bad part, the none centered fonts are just killing it...

looks nice but I guess you cant overclock it any more than the rest of the 980ti cards. More and more the thought of a Titan X goes away.....

You guys need to learn to embrace the asymmetry. Some times OCD can make things look too forced and detract from their natural flow. Don't see it as conceding to randomness but an opportunity to be even more controlled and obsessive. Perfect symmetry can bring with it unbalance.

It's not all about symmetry, I know, but having the lightning text not in the middle of the card seems just a little bit unfitting since it doesn't line up with anything, if the lightning branding would be on the top, maybe a bit offset it would have been much better and the msi logo at the bottom would fit in there perfectly.

I get why the 'Lightning' and 'MSI' text is annoying to look at, but the yellow 'C'? I like the more jagged look that the 'C' adds to the design, rather than the more rounded 'O'

I'm the opposite. I'm tired of all these coolers having symmertrical rings around the fans. This was nice and unique especially when lit up. PUT IT BACK!!! ;)
