Finally a backplate on an msi card and it looks great now why couldn't they have put that on the gaming edition cards originally

I know right, If the normal gaming 970 had the dragon backplate I'd buy one so quickly.

They have obviously done it due to all the com plants about the original, I personally think they should release the backplate as an extra for the original

Someone needs to speak to their Colour guy about their definition of 'gold' that cooler cover aint even close...

Hating the copper cooler look. But I would love the card. Probably runs ice cold. Remind me of our old fridge that had the copper pipes at the back with no coat over

Funny thing is that MSI doesn't have any boards to match the colour sceme, also more ironic is that the colour sceme fits the sabertooth lineup perfectly!

It keeps costs down innit. MSI's cards are usually the cheapest card in a lineup (atleast ones that you'd buy).

Agreed, they should have gone with something copper based for the name instead of slapping a gold backplate on and going with copper coloured cooler cover instead of gold... just doesn't work for me at all.

Yeah, if they overclocked better they might be worth slapping one of EK's new MSI 970 waterblocks on it. that way you remove the copper and keep the gold.

I really don't like the look of this card, and this is comming from a guy who will be buying a GTX 970 very soon.
