People seem to have problems with this board: agp lock, memory, serial ata

This is a pretty good board for the price, these are just some things I've learned:

- if you have sata hdd and plan on ocing, do not buy this

- check to see if your ram was tested for the board before you get it

- keep ht bus less than 1000 mhz for ocing

- the agp lock does work with bios newer than 3.2

- use clockgen Asus AV8 to see if agp/pci lock is working

- oc through bios

No, its a great board. Keep in mind the 939 version does have an agp lock....

And no board without agp lock + ocing and a sata is good...satas are very very sensitive

This board is only 939. Its 754 relative is the Neo2-FIS2R. Even with the agp/pci lock, sata still gets jacked up and is hard to setup anyway I've heard.

Sata isnt hard to setup at all once you know what your doing...

and it wont get jacked up if you have agp lock....cause it will lock the frequency going to the sata! (if it works lol)

I know, im just stating that if you have agp lock your fine with ocing and sata.

Otherwise your definately not.
