Was in the electrical ( brown/white goods ) retail management sector for 15+ years so I fully understand your point of view in some respects.Your frustrations are apparent. Obviously if your company asked you to sell this product and wax lyrical about them to your consumers are you saying that even if the product was highly profitable you wouldn't sell them and advise them against it?
back in my day things didn't come with plugs - they were a separate purchase!
We sold the consumer what they wanted and what made us the most profit - exactly what pre fitted w/c companies are doing. they sell. they make money for the company. the end user is happy.
if a consumer wants a water cooled hdd they can have one, been around for years.
