I do wonder what exactly makes this card 'armoured'? Or is this just MSI coming up with a more spectacular word for backplate? Does look good though and competitive products are always good!

Nah, that's literally just the way that they solder the PCI slot to the motherboard instead of using the push-pin method like allegedly everybody else does (although I think everyone is using these metal-ish PCI slot covers now). Can't see how that has anything to do with the graphics card that goes into said slot?
