I think bringing greed into a discussion about public companies that have to answer to investors operating within a system specifically designed to use profits as incentive is kinda disingenuous. The problem is with the game, they're just doing what any large company has to do to play it, it's not like AMD sell their products cheaper because they want to pee off their investors more, pricing is defined by large teams of skilled workers and a whole host of different algorithms attempting to map market factors, there's some suggestion NVidia's prices are off a little because they incorrectly attributed the Pascal sales from crypto to gaming due to how they segregate the sales data(IE they didn't), it's essentially an analysis error at most.
Edit: Apparently the sale on the Vega56 is temporary too just for this launch so it does seem to be a sacrificing profit for total marketshare thing more in this case.
