In LTT's latest video regarding PSUs, the A1000G was one of the few samples that failed in their tests. They got a second unit and it failed as well.
This in combination with not an award from OC3D doesn't really speak well for this PSU unfortunately.

I have the A1000G as well and one of the pins on the 12VHPWR cable got loose from just a single use... doesn't seem like a very reliable PSU either.

MSI make good GPU's and mobos, PSU's are not their strong suit it seems.
