I agree, the M.2 slot in the back is a great idea. Could make a great mini PC board.

Pretty sure this feature was on the Asus ITX board as well, but everyone should make more use of the back of ITX board! More flat type connectors like in laptops and on the thin-mITX boards :D

Damn, that looks an awesome board. That M.2 SATA port would've been helpful in my current build. It also looks like they've put the 24-pin connector in the right bloody place now. I have the Z97I Gaming AC and it's a bitch to build with.

Anyone know of the other difference between this and the Gaming AC?

Reminds me, need to update the ol' sig.

Looks like a great little board, I'll be very tempted if I needed a small build.

One comment though and maybe it's just me but do these press releases need to be quite so marketing heavy? I get that it's quick to make the post and you don't have much else to go on but it's a bit to much for me sometimes. I mean some of the figures in marketing is just plain bollocks in practice, like the killer networking, I don't recall anyone ever actually noticing a difference. Just wondering if we can keep it down a bit? Might just be me.

Looks like they've gone full Asus. Good move. Disappointed it's not an ITX XPower though, I would of rushed out and started throwing a black and yellow rig together. The world needz moar XPOWER!

I've got the original Z97i-ac-gaming in my currrent rig and I cannot sing praises over it enough. It's cheaper than the ROG Asus and honestly think it's better overall. The layout isn't the best but I think this ACK version fixes any negatives I had with it and the fact they added the M.2 almost sells me to buy this version.

Any news on a release date for this guys.... ? May well consider this for a M-ITX rig I have in planning....
