MSI announced their new GTX 1070 Quick Silver GPU

Nice looking cooler : check. Nice colour : check. Nice backplate : check.

Dragon badge : fail.

I even like the 50s style lettering on it.

Why go with a black and silver colour design, only to then put that red shield dragon logo on the back?...

I was thinking the same thing. Some of these card makers are tone deaf when it comes to their customers. Enough with trying to put red on everything... it's like some car tuners putting huge wing spoilers on everything... it's not going to make it faster!

It's called poor design. As a designer you need to know when to stop. That takes experience, obviously the designer of this either has none or was told my MSI he had to put it on there. I would imagine it's the latter. No professional designer would get away with over doing things otherwise.

I have to agree such a dumb move to put the dragon badge on the back otherwise this card would have been perfect for those with the Titanium line of M/B's

Msi please stop plastering that childish dragon on your goooood products!!!

The above would be in all CAPS if it werent automatically changed..

This is one of the most stupidest product i have ever seen, There goes MSI again making stupid product also they don't listen to their customers they will just do what they want.....Thank god i don't own any MSI products.

Meh - Dragon doesn't look too bad - unless it lights up. Style reminds me of my mates old 1960 Bel Air.

Don't mind this TBH.

They do listen to their customers. The Asian market is going crazy over RGB and tacky immature naming like Gaming Godlike etc etc.

Bit old to be double posting now no? :D

And no its not just the asians. You got yhe kids and then those eSports uhhh... Whatever

Yes only one area of the market, Not the rest of the world, Still most stupidest name for a motherboard ever.

I was thinking that too.

Agreed !

More and more people that I personally know want a product that looks stealthy or professional i.e not flashy, Something like the Sabertooth or Deluxe boards for a mobo, LPX for memory and something quite neutral and not over the top looking like the 980 Strix, 980 Ti classified both of which look quite plain IMO or even the reference style cards minus any lights.

Companies IMO if they want RGB should start making their products colour neutral with no garish branding like the MSI dragon for example.

Dude you might as well give up with the other companies, there is only one company will give you the product you want and they will be my next motherboard.

As i have said ASUS, Gigabyte & MSI are all in a race to see who can come out with the most stupidest name & design for a motherboard.

EVGA makes the best neutral looking boards IMO but Asus really makes a great looking product with the Sabertooth as it does look very professional and clean as there isn't really any over the top branding or boy racer lights all over the place.
