2009 is edging itself as a possibly entertaining time for AMD v Intel. Both pushing a new gen, I`m personally prepared to sit back for several months atleast to watch it all unfold and see who comes out in favor of the enthusiast.

this explains why theres bugger all am2 boards in the market, everyones doing a burton to AM3, does this mean that AM2+ has actually sank, wondering if AMD are going to rate the cpu's at there upper thermal and operational limit like previous generations or include some headroom for the enthusiast market. Time will tell, but with the 4000 series of card performing very well maybe AMD have enough for one last push to finally try and catch up (or even overtake) intel.

How can one company make 8! boards based on the 780G, surely 3 is more than enough, one ATX, one mATX and who knows what else, but 8!.. are they juts goingn to release them in all the colours of the rainbow?
