Mouse polling rate windows 7

I have used the link above to increase polling rate of my mouse however that doesnt work for windows 7. I couldnt find any other post about windows 7 and mouse polling rate, was wondering if anyone link the same way or someone can make it work?

Sorry, I have just tried it and the same. All USB ports stop working. With the 500 & 1000 rates.

Has anybody got a better driver for windows 7 64bit?

Please.

It's not so much the mouse I need polling rate to increase, it's my game pad.
