If you wanted to get a better overclock, I probably wouldn't use a UP4 or UP5. In my opionion, I don't think you should get a better motherboard if you are already stable at 1.3v. I would get a UP5 (even thought i prefer MSI MPOWER or ASUS Sabertooth for that price range) just for the new features it gives you. If you want a overclocking board then the UP5 does have alot to offer you, but I don't think you will need to be honest.

You might could slightly lower that minimum voltage required with a baller mobo (e.g. V Gene) but it doesn't woth it, if you're stable and satisfied allready :)

& what would happen if you outlay for a shiny new high end board and still cant get past 4.5ghz?
Before you get another board, see if you can borrow a mates high end board and see how you did in the silicon lottery.
I personally wouldn't bother, thats more than enough core speed for well most things. Want more fps in games, buy a good gpu.

If you have money to burn , why not..
but i totally agree, no need for a upgrade here !

Have you tried higher overclocks with you're previous board ?
