Motherboard & Ram Upgrade?

I have a question for everyone.. Should I upgrade my Gigabyte M68MT-S2 to a ASUS Sabertooth 990FX with Corsair Memory Vengeance 16 GB Dual Channel. I'm not exactly sure if I should or not or it's worth the money even though all I am doing is playing simple games such as League of Legends and some Steam games. Since the mobo I currently have only has 1 PCx16 slot I am wanting a new mobo to support crossfire on my XFX 6870. & pretty much upgrade the whole thing. I need some professional advice if it is worth even going ahead ordering the parts to stick into my case.

I would just save up for a new Graphics Card and run a single card setup.

Maybe I will do that. Seems cheaper to buy a 2GB or 3GB Radeon Card then just replacing Mobo, Ram, etc. But my question is now if I buy a new GPU should I upgrade my 700W PSU to 850?

If you have a decent psu brand,it wont be necessary,700w is more than needed.

But if its an el cheappo psu it would make sence to buy new,if you spend like 300-500$ on gpu.

My PSU seem shitty imo. I've never heard of an xtreme gear 700W PSU. Came with my already built rig.

Depends on the PSU's OEM. If you can find out the OEM, you may be able to determine whether or not the PSU is any good. You can also check the 12V rails to see if they are capable of supporting all of your hardware.

Just googled your psu,and all forums said,run as fast you can and buy a new psu.Suggest you buy a new psu when you purchase new gpu.Good brands like corsair,seasonic,enermax,be quiet.

lol kilobravo. I just goggled the same that's funny as heck. Any recommendations on a PSU? I was looking @ Cooler masters & NZXT 850w ones but jeez pricey for a PSU nowadays.

The psu is the heart that make the system work,and shouldnt be skimped at.Corsair tx750 v2 is a good psu,comes with a 5 year warranty,but only has fixed cables.

If you can find the money i will suggest the corsair ax750 though.

That specific psu was reviewed by TTL and during one off the tests it failed hard twice with a bang,literally.And there were other reviewers that also had the same result.

Whatttttt about a Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W PSU? If not I'll buy a Corsair Professional Series 850W or 1.2kW PSU. Also I appreciate all the feedback.

Corsair AX pro series 850w all the way home,there is only a few to compare with and the CM silent pro isnt one off them
