motherboard needed i think

Hi there been awhile since i last posted

had a real nightmare of a time with my new pc

The story so far is brought all the parts for a really good gaming pc

Abit in9 32x max wi/fi

qx9450 watercooled laing d5 thermochill 120.2

4x 500gb seagate barracuda's

2x xfx 9600gt in sli

corsair dominator 4gb 8500

sata dvd rw's

vista ultimate 32

and everything was working ok but then a friend told me i would get better results by running an 8800 ultra so stupidly i put it in and tried it . it worked ok but i liked the 9600gt in sli more so i took out the 8800 and put the 9600gt's back in now all that went fine i reinstalled the drivers and sorted it all out then i switched it to sli thats where the pc dies it goes to a black screen with one white dash flashing and hangs there i have to do a hard shut down and that chucks out all the nvidia drivers i have tried everything i can think of even formatting the hard drive and reinstalling everything from clean the gfx cards work fine sepperately but when i press to go sli same thing it just hangs is there anything i can do or do i just get a 780i motherboard if so which one thanks for reading all comments and advice will be read and adheard to :worship:

I wouldnt know about SLi because ive never done it but have you tried to use both of the cards as primary? One of them might be messed up.

And you should try to check that SLI bridge in correct way. It worth to check it out like change the way you plug in now. Hope that help.
