More Business Leaders suggest Britain should exit EU

After financial mismanagement in Scotland (the Darien scheme http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darien_scheme) the Scots found it to their advantage to join the union.

This gave them access to things the English were doing well in like trade, colonisation and the slave trade.

A lot of Scots and some ports of Scotland got very rich on the Slave trade.

The reason Scotland joined the union was pure financial greed and some of it very unpleasant indeed.

This guy going on about the EU then never replying about any criticism of leaving the eu is really starting to seem suspicious to me. How do we know his account hasn't been taken?


Also, I support staying in the EU because I actually know what socialism is and as such don't consider the EU to be anything vaguely left wing other than at best center left.

I also think it would be very bad to leave the EU, there are a lot of benefits to us staying in which have already been mentioned in this thread. If we did try and give the EU an ultimatum of giving us a better deal or we leave it would be very unfortunate for us. This is something they can never or should never give ground on as if they did the EU would have all the other member states demanding special deals too.

What I find annoying is the PM and the sceptics in his party already know this and will use the EUs refusal to give ground as a basis for an exit strategy.

Let UK leave. Most companies that trade with the EU will move their offices to Dublin so they will not get all the extra taxations for their products/services

Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland i.e the EU so they will still get the tax etc...

It's that UKIP dude, He starts a thread about the EU and the 3rd reich i.e UKIP and then leaves never to reply, I've actually seen him on the OCUK forums as well but he got banned after a week of none stop posts about his love for nigela firagio

I think poltical discussion has its place just like philosophy and such on this forum, that's the point of an offtopic subforum, isn't it?

It's the one post, spark an argument about something and never come back. It's just fucking click baiting. I'm not stopping you lads talking about this, but i'm closing this thread now. If they're not going to respond, and that's all they're posting I might even impart a ban / infraction because they're not here to discuss stuff they're just, in my eyes, being trolls.
