I want to ask all of you for your help because something strange has been happening to my monitor, and I can't find any solutions on the interwebs
Firstly I think I should state what monitor it is, its the Samsung 24" PLS panel. I bought it just over a year ago and recently I noticed that the right side of the screen had flickering horizontal lines. These came and went so I didn't pay too much attention to it, but they become worse to the point where I couldn't use the monitor. I tried changing the cable, but it wasn't that. I tried plugging it into a different source (my laptop) that didn't work. I tried moving it to a different room (to check if the plug was giving it 'unclean' power) that didn't work. So I decided it must be a problem with a connection inside the monitor itself. So i took out the 4 screws that hold down the plastic backing and after carefully pulling the back off (which was just held with plastic tabs) i was met with the panel and a circuit board. I then unplugged everything from the circuit board and plugged everything back in. What happens now is that when i turn on the monitor is it still flickering (slightly less though) and amazingly after 15-30 minutes it seems to 'fix' itself. So theres almost no flickering. I'm trying to keep the monitor ON (as in displaying something, not letting it go to sleep) all the time to avoid the flickering but i'm worried is bad, plus its just something every annoying.
Also I have tried using a tv instead of the monitor and the flickering goes away, so its not the computer/cables
Thanks guys.
