monitor advice

I am looking to upgrade my monitor to something slightly larger , i currently run and asus mx25aq which is a lovely monitor .
After looking around and watching /reading reviews i am torn between the asus pg279q and the acerxb321hk , i know one is 1440p/27" and the other is 4k/32" , and Tom's review of the asus was a glowing one .
i was just after some input from others on what you think , i do not really play high refresh rate games , so 60hz is fine although i'm drawn to 144hz ,
I did also try for a short time a pg348q which unfortunately i had to return due to a problem with its control panel , but my desk is also a little too small for that beast .
So back to the question , any thoughts on choice or maybe alternatives

I'm holding out for the new line of ROG monitors from Asus and am really interested in the PG27VQ curved monitor, there is also a PG27UQ in 4k you might be interested in? I'm hoping they will be out for Christmas and that Tom will review them. On the plus side you should see the pg279q come down in price so it may be worth while holding on a few months.

think the 27uq is not due till 1st quarter of 2018 now, along with the acer version but there going to be a serious amount of beer tokens , i'm am starting to think the best choice is the pg279q as it ticks most of the boxes i'm looking for
