Just got my fancy new PSU in today, and it looks to be a winner! Haven't gotten it installed yet, just taken a few pix. Full review to come after a few days (or hours :D ) of testing. :)

First Impressions

The PSU comes in a standard brown box w/o any flash to it at all. This signifies to me that it's coming from a company that's focused on making the best product possible and marketing it solely by it's performance and not how flashy the box/manuals are.

The cables are 100% fully sleeved and jesus there are a lot of connectors! Perfect for anyone demanding some serious 12v power such as myself due to a large number of 12v components. There are a total of 8 4-pin molex's, 6 SATA, 2 PCI-E, 1 P4, and of course 1 ATX v2.0 connector.

Under the top cover you'll find the goods... Tada, teh pwnage! The PSU has a nice beefy black powder-coat finish and a large label displaying all of the rail voltages. It comes packaged well with anti-static bubble wrap surrounding it on all sides to protect it in transport. Gotta love the "CAUTION! HIGH VOLTAGE" note at the bottom of the label :)

A quick shot showing the label a bit better. It's hard to see in the photo but above the label on the right side are 2 access holes for adjusting the 12v and 3.3v rails, the 5v adjustment access hole is on the side of the unit.

The installed product is very very nice... The all black sleeved cables are great and leave no ugly wires dangling anywhere which adds to the overall pimpin factor, especially when the lights are off and the UV is glowin' bright, u can't see any of the cabling, it looks super sweet!

Short Review

I'm just going to do a quick summary of this PSU as it's hard to write a lot about something as simple as a PSU, so please have a read.

Rail readings out of the box are outstanding! The 5v rail is sitting nicely at 5.15v, 3v rail at 3.31v, and 12v rail at about 12.13v with the use of my trusty cheap-o digital DMM. I can't comment on how loud it is because all of my rad fans overbear noises from anything else in the computer so I won't be making a judgement on that. The single fan pulls air through the unit and out the back and keeps it quite cool inside blowing a nice cool breeze through the back which means the power supply isn't getting strained by anything which is to be expected from a psu capable of peaking at 650w. There is no rail sag, all of them ar solid as a rock at idle and under load. Overall power output seems to be enormous, quite more than I had though a 510w psu could deliver but this thing is a brute. It weighs in at nearly 6lbs which is always a good sign of a quality psu. No issues as of yet, installed flawlessly with no hiccups, can't say a single darn thing bad about it!

All in all this psu is rock solid. There's no doubt that this is the heavy-weight champion and I encourage anyone looking for a new PSU to check out anything from the PCP&C Turbo-Cool lineup, you surely won't be dissapointed.

Still have it... OCZ has told me that there is a boot issue with my mobo and the psu so I've decided to go with this instead, shipping the OCZ back to newegg tomorrow.

Rolls Royce of PSU's indeed :) Mine is looking pretty damn god in my rig at the moment. All of the rails are rock solid even when being abused hard :)

i think the ocz was better 600w not 510w but this is turbo cool so it is cooler i assume

Also the fact that this thing deliver minimum 510w @ 50*C - peak 650w. That's the difference - no false promises with this baby :D :worship:

One more quick thing I thought was completely awesome about this PSU. It obviously came with a new power cord, but it's the biggest one I've ever seen before, I'm talk it looks like it can handle some SERIOUS voltage.

Here's a comparison of the PCP&C cord (14 gauge) to your standard PSU cord (skinny one which is about 20 gauge).
