Mobo question

Forgive me if this a noob question, i have a h61 socket 1155 asus motherboard with an ivybridge i5 and i wanted what are the advantages of a z77 over a h61?

z77 motherboards are generally built better (better power circuitry etc), they can handle overclocking supported k series cpus, have more pci-e lanes for crossfire sli etc and generally have more SATA 3 ports.

that's all I can think of offhand

Essentially buy it if you want an overclocked rig.
