were did the manage to get 2.0ghz link? last i saw was 1.9

It was 1.9, close enough to 2 anyway. I just said 2 to stress the point it was done on LN2 and that the Zotzc 2ghz at stock card doesn't sound very likely

Unless they ship it with a pot and some LN2 that is

Lol, reminds me of painting by numbers.

Not sure I like the idea of painting your GPU but at least it's something different.

Now were talking. Proper 8 pins, no tower of power, longer PCB's, better VRM's, proper looking 580 replacements, not 560Ti and 570 replacements..

Damn straight! I'm very confused about NVidia's lineup here. I was thinking that the 680 was a 560Ti/ 570 replacement, but who knows, the 256 bus, VRM's, only 2GB, small PCB and 6 pins stump me. The GK110 is going to be the true 580 replacement I think, but that looks like its going to be a while off. I still think the 7970 is a card that AMD really have trumped NVidia on. It OC's very, very well and they beat the green team by a few months. I was expecting more. I mean, the 7950 when OC'ed is an epic card for a good price, same for the 7870, both solidly good cards. Lets wait to see what happens with time. The 680 is a nice card though, low TDP, very impressive power considering the small bus etc etc. I just don't see it as a true enthusiast GPU.

I don't believe all this stuff about the 680 not being the 580 replacement. The 680 is 40% faster than the 580, the architecture is smaller than AMD's and uses less power so the two 6pins seems reasonable to me especially when some of the partner cards will have 1x8pin and 1x6pin. The size of the card doesn't seem out of place to me especially when you compare the 580 to the 6970 and the 590 to the 6990, both Nvidia cards are smaller by quite a bit so the 680 being small doesn't seem out of place to me either.

The GK110 in my opinion the same thing as AMD's 8970, from the leaked specs the 8970 will be something like 50%- 80% faster than the 7970 which is also exactly what the estimate for the GK110 is, and they are also due to be released around the same time, coincidence ? I don't think so
