i didnt even know that mininova was considered legal

.... i think the media tends to make a big hoo har.. yes it's illegal, and yes all those hollywood movie stars will be starving on the streets, and sony will be begging for pennies on pavements, however a lot of people have stopped using these sites in such vast quantities.... i remember a few years ago everyone had limewire or such like, and you would just download a song you liked.. but now you'e got something likeyoutube you can listen to a song ... again and again, and if u really like it then buy it off itunes or somewhere....
to be honest i think the companies fial to realise that a lot of the downloads dont affect potential profit.. a lot of things poeple download to try .. liek old games such as swat 4.. i know i downloaded it , to try it out , but its a very veyr old game, ( i already bought it, but lost the disk ages ago) and i'm hardly going to go through the hassle of ordering it off sites, even if it is still available
one thing however where i see a illegal market emerging is high def films... quite rightly we can't be bothered to buy the players, becuase we like our organs in place and dotn want to sell them, so high def movies seem very tempting, so i think companies need to get their act together on that front and start releasing high def movies available on tinternet, at decent prices, or they'l loose out of a lot of profit...
