Hey guys so I'm building a mini itx gaming pc and looking for it to be as quiet/cool/high performance as possible haha
. My budget is £900-1000 closer to £900 the better.
Most of the specs I already have sorted;
Bitfenix prodigy
i5 4690k
Msi z97i gaming ac
16gb team group 2666mhz
Samsung 840 pro 256gb (from my old pc)
Seagate 1tb 7200rpm sshd
Now the 2 things in contention haha number one being power supply I'm thinking either 550 or 650 and am not sure of brand I was looking at corsair RM but I've hard they are a bit overpriced and there are better PSUs for the same or less money.
Next is graphics card; 3 options r9 290 vapor-x, refernce 780, reference 780ti.
Now originally I was dead set on the vapor-x but then I came across a potential problem where the 290 draws air in which may not be ideal for a small case.
However the 780 reference is lower performance for more money but it blows air out rather than taking in. While the 780ti is better and blows air out but is only like 11% better (in best case scenario) and it costs a ton more like £320 for the vapor-x and £450 reference 780ti huge premium for such a minor increase but again blows air out.
I think I'm probably over thinking this air flow issue wouldn't some top mounted exhaust fans fix the problem fine? Anyway I'm mostly just looking for some other peoples opinions before I go ahead
.
Thanks
