Microsoft unveils the PC system requirements for Windows 10 VR

Well I don't want it for gaming any way. I want it for experiences, things like helicopter rides etc that I am too scared to do for reals. That is what VR is to me any way. I love roller coasters for example but because of human error I have only ever been on two.

It's a pretty sensible position - for the majority of users gaming in VR will not be a very affordable option. You need a Rift or Vive ($1400AUD) plus a very capable GPU so you're looking another $500-$1200 on top.

For watching content however, or virtual tours and experiences $300 US is quite affordable. Especially for people that are concerned about motion sickness or get headaches using VR.

I'll game for hours on end but a 90 second roller coaster or to look at virtual real estate is quite doable without noticeable side effects.

Ideally they want to get as many people using VR as possible to make it worth developing apps and content. Then the enthusiasts will be more likely to shell out the big dollars.
