Certainly an interesting move, especially considering the state of the world economy at the moment.

I assume this is going to be aimed at selling windows media PCs, 360's and peripherals? I mean, I can't see them selling a lot of software this way?

Sure, you could buy windows here, or you could use your internet to find windows for about half the price elsewhere...unless they offer educational prices instore, in which case I'm sold...windows 7 ultimate £40 anyone?

Makes you wonder if they have a new product range planned for the stores. Microsoft branded PC's or something along those lines. Seeing as they seem to be following Apple's suit in opening stores, it makes me wonder?
