Got this appearing on all the pc's in the house, have reserved one on my mums laptop and will reserve the keys on the other pc's over the next couple of days but I won't move my, main pc over to it till I have seen it running on my media/lan pc.

Going to reserve it on my laptops. Not to fussed about my main PC until I know it won't break anything, namely gaming and my audio solution.

TBH i don't think i will upgrade, why should i upgrade when Windows 7 is still working fine for me but i will end up getting the Windows 8.1 upgraded.

Bloke in the computer shop from me said the free upgrade is only for 12 months then you will get a notice to pay for it, like a 12 month trial

I read this as well and while I do not think you pay full price I think your pay like a subscription every year. Of course I think you have the option of buying it outright, I could be wrong about this but this is what I remember reading somewhere.

The Win 10 update is for life, you have 12 months to update otherwise you'll have to purchase it.
