In order to be eligible to receive Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, your computer must have been ordered or built between March 31, 2003 and July 31, 2005 and must contian an x64 processor. You must also have a Retail (Full Packaged Product), System Builder, or OEM version of Microsoft Windows® XP Pro (32-bit) to exchange.

I don't think it's to get people to 'iron out bugs', It's because he's decided to make your Windows XP 32-bit version not work and laugh at people who don't take notice of that and then try to activate their 32-bit version after they couldn't find drivers for 64-bit

Ehhh... Its logged by windows, lol. Go to ur cp and open up the system panel, it gives it to u on the first tab. youre welcome jimbo.

Make a tiny partition, install windows, dont do any updates, just go in and write down the number, then format the partition and delete it. Easy enough to get yourself a legal copy of x64

Got my copy ordered... $12 S&H, not too bad I 'spose for some 100% legal MS software

Ships in 4-6 weeks, Must be waiting for the retail version to be released before they ship.

yes you need your 32 bit product key so they invalid that and you have an original x64xp

Just because u lost ur CD key doesnt make it illegal to try and see if they'll accept ur product key.
