Microsoft Moves To Accommodate Suse Linux

In what can only be viewed as extremely abnormal behaviour; Microsoft has agreed that Linux is here to stay and has also offered to pitch in and help Novell's SUSE become usable on Windows. This turnaround by Microsoft from the open-source bashing of the past, along with the Vista reinstall change of heart makes me wonder what the hell is going on at Redmond. It's certainly an interesting development; care to comment?

Seiously, where is this info coming from? I mean, is it bogus? This is so not how M$ operates. First they give us a green light for infinite reinstalls and now this? I love it and I really do hope that this isn't all some big hoax. SuSE is my favorite nix distro too, w00t w00t!

My thoughts exactly Frag, I mean has M$ OD'd on happy pills lately? These past few days have been so completely out of character

I`m kinda with Frag, u read this sorta thing and have to read it again.

Is there a staff reshuffle @ m$ ? Some of the more ethically/intelectual peoples from previously competing OSs getting positions ?

Denise, Paula and Agnus prehaps stealing their way into top positions ?

EDIT: I did see a month or so ago that Gill Bates was/is retired/retiring - maybe it`s going to be a trend.

well i dont think this is microsoft being nice guys...think about it

if linux software works on windows, a lot of people will see no reason to move to linux, and instead will just use windows with linux software.

cunning...
