Microsoft backtracks - Not all future Microsoft published games will come to PC

Not sure this is all that much of a loss considering most of these games would have ended up on the Windows Store anyway... I have no interest in spending money on that platform.

MS backtracks on comment that was basically "don't bother to buy a XBone". What a surprise :)

As long as proper Forza comes to the PC idc. Everything else is a multi-platform thing anyway. Steam has saved PC gaming.

Forza is one of the two I wanted. I grew up on Halo so it'd be nice to see them all on PC too. I'm still excited for Forza Horizon 3, but I'm disappointed by this backtrack.

Or are they simply covering their butts as one of their upcoming games is not cross compatible and don't want to be sued? It reads as more of a clarification statement than a 180 degree U Turn. The original statement would also include every new game ever developed by them for all eternity if you take it as written.

Probably what it is. But still.. make up there minds and be clear about it. All PC Gamers want is a simple answer. Are they going to better support us with games and use services like Steam/Gog/etc. Then which games. It's really not that hard, they keep saying they want to commit, but they constantly do things like this. They are missing out on huge demand from PC players who want the Xbox IP or even bring back/remaster games like Age of Empires and etc. But if they keep this up, they will miss there opportunity.

Definitely - there are a few games I'd love to play but not worth forking out for an XBONE just for one or two titles. Exclusivity just means less people playing tbh.

I do own an Xbox One, but I much, much prefer my PC. The fact we're getting Forza Horizon 3 is enough for me to ditch consoles entirely once my Xbox One dies. I'll keep playing Halo for the lifetime of the console, but if they don't bring them to PC I'm not going to spend out on another platform change with the next Xbox.

In hindsight it was financially a mistake to get the Xbox One for just Halo and Forza Horizon even with a mates rate deal of £150 for the console six months ago. It's great to have a backup gaming system when my PC is out of action for tinkering; it's actually been a godsend through my PC upgrading process so I'm not lamenting it too much, I just don't like the fact I gave in to Microsoft in order to play a nostalgic series. It's water under the bridge now and I admit it's useful to have, but it won't be happening again. Soon I'll have enough spare PC components to have a backup system so I won't need a console for that.

Long story short; Microsoft needs to bring the games I want to PC in future or I won't be buying them. Forza Horizon has me really happy, I just hope Halo follows suit.
