It could end up being like GDDR6/GDDR6X, where later GDDR7 memory performs similarly to GDDR7X.

Technically, 24 Gbps GDDR6 memory modules are available, which are faster than the GDDR6X used on the RTX 40 series.

Guessing things like Rubin in 2027 will use this and AMD may use this in 2030 as they first need to get to GDDR7.
