It looks stunning. And it just brought back memories of being stunned when I played Last Light. Gosh, WHAT a game that was.
I tell you something a bit deeper about LL. I loved the way it would be hard, then you would get respite, then hard again, then respite. It allowed you to gear up and mentally prepare for what you knew was coming, but, enjoy a beautiful game as well. A friend of mine (game reviewer) said about Bioshock Infinite "It's a beautiful game set in a beautiful world, but it's so linear and nothing can be opened or explored. It just expects you to rush along and not notice which is a shame".
Metro LL answered that. It was linear, but they used it very very well. IE - in some god forbidden pokey tunnel that made you feel really claustrophobic. Then? you open a grate and you are now in a much larger, more open place. Which you then get to enjoy for a while and fully take in before the action begins again.
Perfect. Metro LL was perfect. Let's see if they can better perfection now !
