What do you use the rig for?

They don't necessarily have to be the same, but it helps with overclocking. Although on systems nowadays where you just overclock with the multiplier, it doesn't really matter.

I'd personally try to match the sticks because I think it looks better, and just feels right y'know? :)
It would annoy me with 4gb, 4gb and 8gb sticks in my system

i use it for gaming and ive always had a paired sticks in the past. never known if you could mix and match. isit possible then? will it effect the channels or the speed or anything? i dont overclock though

You say I don't overclock like someone would say: 'I don't take drugs' :) It's not bad for you man! :p

If it's for gaming, you don't need anymore than 8gb of RAM.

ahahhaa hey theres nothing wrong with a bit of drugsloool...am i aloud to say that on this sight?? bacccck to the subjectttt yeah i know i just wanted to fill up the spaces they look so empty and alone
