Hi

Currently in the middle of a build project and so far the theme i am going for is Black and gold.

The theme will be based around the MSI Big Bang X power II, thats entirely black with the gold bullets on the board. I'm going to have 2 water cooled GTX 780's that hopefully will have a black back plate. I'm going to have true Golden bitspower fittings to enhance the gold look.

I was wondering if anyone had tried or currently uses mayhems X1 UV oil black pre mixed coolant? if so is it a true oil black or am I better looking elsewhere?

Yeah I put it in orca.

It now looks like hot chocolate.......

My advise would be look at another brand.

mmmm hot chocolate...

Black tubing doesn't actually look rubbish like other coloured tubing, you could try that.

I concur with NRG. I used black tubing on my 2010 build and it would accomplish the look you desire.

the last couple of black coolants really had too much green to combat the "sheen"
of the black.. wasn't too happy about the "green" tinges from a static view

I see, the Oil black would be even worse then as it doesn't have the nano additive stuff. What would be the best black dye if black tube was out of the question?

i have the x1 black with uv blue additive. barely reacted at all at also has a yellow green tinge in the light so i added a bucket of deep blue no uv reactive dye to deepen it up a bit. also mayhems bottles are crap all the ones i have used the caps have leaked like flip. its a small thing but my hands are bright pink or dirty green at the moment due to the leakiness

Ah man, I was sold on Mayhems but it seems like it's not so good, sorry to derail the thread, I'll get a new one up and running.

I've yet to hear of any complaints with colored tubing.
Not so with dyed fluids.
Plain, clear fluids looks just fine in a reservoir with an LED to help see it properly.
