Maximus II Formula ( P45/ICH10R) Southbridge high temperature is normal?

I have an Asus Maximus II Formula and the temperature of the southbridge is constantly at 55 º C, this is normal?

This high temperature can decrease the lifetime of the southbridge?

I live in a region with high temperatures in Brazil, and the ambient temperature inside the computer case is 42 º C, but even at high temperatures do not think he should be so hot.

i have an maximus formula(not the II) and my southbridge temps are 44 degrees in a room thats 24 degrees so u might be ok

Since the temp of the inside of the case is 43oC I think 55oC SB isn't bad going. Try and get rid of some of that heat by placing fans over the heatsinks.
