mATX LGA1150 motherboard?...

Not really tbh, unless you want mental overclocks on the CPU. I'm running my Xeon 1230 V3 off a single 4 pin EPS connector as my motherboard is mITX.

Haha, reading that site was quite funny :p

Okay... well just wondering since my old Sabertooth P67 and my current P8Z77-I Deluxe uses 8 pin and those Asrock and MSI motherboards uses 4 pin.
And I won't really do any overclocking to be honest so :)

Thanks Feronix mate! :)

Well you know pretty much everything about my setups by now dude hehe :p

I must say that barnsley actually got me quite interested in the ASRock Z97M Pro 4.
So it pretty much between the ASRock Z97M Pro 4 and MSI Z97M-G43 now.
Most of which will go down into the color matching of everything, since the same reseller who has these, also has the GPU that I'm getting... so I'm gonna ask if I can compare them in the store, for colors comparison.

Also, not sure if I got an answer or not... but will a 4 pin CPU power connector make any difference in relation to an 8 pin?...

Thanks guys! :)

Hehe, not everything should be easy dude ;)

If you're willing to put the time into researching it all and actually planning out the build as I am, hell... I've even been on the search for a few months now, planning out the build, with enormous amazing help from Feronix. And I'm still not done halfway yet, just picked up the case that I want to use and the 2 front fans.

And yes, I am quite picky about it, like most people in here when it comes to their diamond of a PC... I want mine to look as much as I want it to and maybe even a bit "personal".
If it will take me time to find all the parts that will work well togheter, both performance wise and aesthetics wise, than I'm willing to spend the time doing it :) ... hence why also asking here for tips, advice, recommendations etc. Since this is an amazing site, community and place to ask for it :)

I just repaint the motherboard. The ASUS is already black, just spend time painting all the red to blue.

No offense, but Chrazey is not an experienced guy when it comes to computer building and painting (as per his own words :p) so painting RAM and PCI-E slots would be a terrible idea.

This is true, I wouldn't call myself experienced at all really. After have built my current PC as my first PC and have rebuilt it twice now.

And I'm not really comfortable with painting a motherboard, as that is like the biggest component in the system and I'm not really keen on the idea of loosing the warranty etc on it. Even though you can remove the paint etc, I'm too afraid of me breaking it while doing it.

So I rather find one that is black/blue and perhaps not have the highest end motherboard in exchange for keeping warranty and not having to mod it.

I have the ATX version of the ASRock Z97 Anniversary board in one of my rigs. No frills board that overclocked an G3258 easily . I'm pretty sure there is a mATX version. They are no frills, inexpensive boards.
