Massive Nvidia Price drops!

Nice price drops, but a new monitor is required before I think about adding a 3rd 780Ti, not to mention a new power supply as I have lost the spare PCI-E leads for my current one.

Hmm not sure if you will like the tri sli scaling even if you are aiming towards 4k standards.

I don't really care why they're doing it tbh - it's damn good news. The 780ti is still a monster of a card - really guys if you have £350 for a graphics card it won't disappoint. And to have two of em - it's a bit obscene - but damn, that's going to be one rig that should last for a long time before it struggles to play games at the highest settings.

I think the problem is that the new API's are going to add features that the older cards might not work very well with, or support at all.

I'll agree that things might still look nice on a 780Ti, but they might look even better on a 970.

I suppose the question is, how good a GPU do you need.

Don't buy faster than you need for your screens and FPS requirements, unless you have cash to burn.

If you don't it might just mean you stay behind the curve when everything else is moving on, because you spent all your money on overkill GPU which you didn't need.

I won't argue they're great value though. I keep thinking wow, great prices... but for my needs my old GTX760 is still pretty good at 60hz/1920x1200 :D
