Hi all,
So i have some fairly old hardware for my rig and the case is one of them. It's one of those unbranded generic cases with no dust filtering and a lot of vents that are just open, i'm forever having to clean out the dust so i came up with a solution that is cheap and easy to install.
I used this sort of plastic fabric type of material used in the garden you put down to stop weeds from growing:
I don't think it will have much of an affect on the temps but should hopefully keep the dust down. I only installed this on the side panel as all the other vents i have blocked of using card board, apart from the rear 120mm fan which i am using as a exhaust and of course the power supply i have left open.
Shot of inside my rig:
Spec:
CPU: Pentium E5200 2.50 GHZ (stock cooler)
MOBO: Foxconn G31MXP-K
RAM: 2 x 2GB Unbranded 400 MHZ (each stick) 800 MHZ total
GRAPHICS: XFX 7770 double dissipation 1GB version
POWER: Corsair CX600 M
STORAGE: Boot: OCZ vertex 4 64GB (had it for ages) HDD'S (storage): Maxator 150GB (booting Ubuntu of this drive currently) and Seagate 250GB
Thanks for reading,
Antony
P.S. sorry about the picture quality when i re-sized it to 600x600 it went like that
