Main AMD64 TCaseMax Release V1.19

Good find my friend.

Here's my FX60 0536UPMW details, will also add the 2x FX60's and the x2 4600 details in here at a later date (tomorrow probably):

Cheers

Mav

nice chip mav as it has got a Tcase of 59c also this will overclcok higher than a normal AMD chip with the same Tcase as it is an FX chip of which has the higher TDP of which yours is 85 Watts, while the A64 has a TDP of 44W, so as you know the FX will clcok higher.

Thats the unit I have in my machine right now - I will post details of the other units I have for sale in the classifieds section tomorrow.

Just wish i had the money mate or i would snap up your FX60.

As you can see i have taken a pic of my opty 165 and you can see that it has a lot lower Tcase and TDP which means it will not clcok as good as the FX 60 you have as it would have to run a lot cooler than the FX60 to get the same speeds, of which we know it cant as it has the cold bug.

I been preaching this on an off for a while, but its still a good way to ball-parking the OC.

K

The TDP is higher for X2 chips mainly coz...theres 2 of them :)

Hi K404, nice chip there mate aswell, as you will see by my screen this is not the case for X2 chips having a higher TDP if you look at my TDP is very low, and this shows it will need more volts and have to run a lot cooler to get the same overclcok as maveriks FX60, Thats why an FX chip will allways be better than a standerd amd64 chip as it will have a higher TDP

:? Just noticed. Dont think i`ve ever seen an X2 as low as that. could that be the Opteron effect? is it measuring the TDP per core? I know you spent quality time burning in, have you tried very low voltages? There must be links between TDP, max clocks and voltages. Its probably on XS somewhere, but figuring it out is more fun than reading it :)

Low TDP: low voltages for stock/small OC??

yes this is correct in a way Low TDP: low voltages for stock/small OC, but providing i can keep this chip cold and keep it below the max Tcase which is 49c, then i can overclcok it but as you know when you add more volts this will Create more heat thats without running any programs so keeping this sucker cool is a hard one as it has the cold bug.

Nice mate, as you can see your chip against maveriks, maveriks will win hands down as i has i higher Tcase of which this means you can pump more volts into it and also it has a higher TDP which means higher watts, so this in effect will be more stable with a higher overclock and can run at higher temps.

But the chip you have is a nice chip.

Nice chip Rackem, as i have said before becouse this is an FX chip it has a higher TDP than a standerd AMD64 chip or Opteron thus will get better overclcoks, also your TDP is 57c so this can get quite hot so will acheve good overclocks, but as said if you look at maveriks FX60 you will see this is far above all our chips so his can overclock higher and stay stable with higher temps.

Those manchester cores really do fly!!

I am gonna pop my 4600 in the comp and psot them details also ;)

The only thing really holding the 3800's back is the multiplier stuck at x9 or lower, my 4600 is locked at x12 or higher so its easier under phase to max out the clock and still run the ram either at 1:1 or 166mhz divider.

I was able to run 3.25ghz 24/7 with my BH5 running 1:1, this was faster than running higher HTT on the CPU and using a ram divider.

Cheers

Mav

The Multi is locked at 10x m8.. but yea i agree it really limits RAM clocks and really pushes the northbridge because of the high HTT needed to get the same clocks as the 4600.

Hi there what this means is that your Tcase has a maximum of 67C anything above this and the cpu will start to fail, even though your temperatures will show lower in your monitors this is not a true showing of the CPU temperature, but this is quiet high so I would think you could get more out of it.

As for the TDP this is the maximum watts that this CPU can take again this looks quiet good.

As said before if you look at maveriks FX60 you will see that the TDP is much higher so this shows that his FX60 he has for sale should be able to clock higher,

Tis true as I set all my current records with it :)
