all pc's ive had have been able to run it,ive had about 12 different cards from ati to nvidia from duals to quads always ran on mines no problem

I have to say the engine is far better optimized than the GTA IV one though.

This is true, but then so is everything the review says. It's too sparse, too empty and not much happens. And that's why it runs so well. Thing is, GTAIV is a really old game now so Mafia should have been far better. The screenshots they have released over the past couple of years look like a different game.

Bump. OK I confess to being completely wrong about this game. It's brilliant.
There does seem to be less to it than in GTAIV but that's why I didn't like GTAIV. Too much crap going on.
I do agree there is too much story and cut scenes, though. It detracts from the action should you want to just get on with the game. It can be skipped of course, but it should be shorter and sweeter.
I also played the demo with a 360 controller. God knows what posessed me to do that, but with a mouse the shooting sections are almost too easy, far far better
So I definitely endorse this game, well worth a go

ill +1 on the game being amazing and there is a lot of cut scenes but they are well done and the story is excellent and yeah its about a 10 hour game through story mode its no 50 hour GTA IV game tryin to do everything, wonder what the dlc will be like cause other than the story there really is sweet fa 2 do

Just finished playing the game.
Truly brilliant and never boring, the ending was abit....mehhhhh but its one of a select few of games i will actually sit down and play because it actually gripped me (mass effect series ftw) They could of added alot more things to do within the game to do around missions. But i guess the game was made just for the story and a little customisation on the side.
The game is a 8/10 for me. It needed a little more pace and much better action scenes (not just crouching behind walls and popping some suckas
