Ok got my holdown kit for S775.
so put the rig together.
8800gtx+mcw60 cooled by DDC+petras top+120.3PA.
QX6700 cooled by MachIIGT regassed to R507a with extra condesnor(modded by Berkut off XS).
Mounted everything and turned power on. Prommy drops steadily to -35C and PC powers on. Went into BIOS, saw CPU temp is -5C(normal for P5B-D+Quad+phase).
Evap temp was -36C and getting lower. It hits -39C then all of a sudden starts to gain temperature 1C every 1-2 seconds. Continues until it reaches -10C, by now CPU temp has risen and approaching 10C then whole rig shutsdown.
Ok I can accept the CPU temps as wasnt a great mount(hard with this homemade holdown kit) but why did the prommy do this weird behaviour?
I then tried just the prommy(not mounted) off a tripped PSU. goes down to -36C then just goes Idle and temp starts to increase.
Anyone can shed any light on this? Is the unti fooked? Closest person for repair is Kayl in perth and would cost me $100AUD just to ship it to him and I dont know for sure if theres anything wrong yet.
