Mach2 GT USB cable

Hi, I’m nearly ready to turn the promie on for the first time and have a quick question before I can finish it. The usb cable on the gt isn’t wired up the same as in the manual. Instead of red white green black like it shows it on the manual, it’s white green red black. Which way round does the usb connect?

yeah mine was like that as long as the back wire (ground) goes to the ground on the usb header you'll be fine. Also when windows loads it will ask you if you want it to find the drivers for you. Say no or cancel to this otherwise it wont detect the mach properly!! Just stick in the mach II cd and it will install the drivers from there.

Great thanks a lot smokie, one more question while I’m at it, the manual says to smear a thin layer of thermal paste onto the evap head. I will be using ceramique, after I have tested for good contact do I put a blob on the head or a thin layer or a blob on the cpu?



Getting exited now its not far off, seems like I’ve been building this pc for ages.

Its working

Just the watercooling to go and a few cosmetic bits and pieces and i will have finished. I will update my project log soon with some more pics. Very pleased and more than a little suprised that it went so well.
