What is the best TIM to use with a mach 2 GT. I'm assuming it's Arctic Silver 5.

Nope I emailed their company on this one and Arctic Silver V can't mature at the low temperatures...

So you use the stuff that comes with it - Arctic Ceramique I think it is

Ceramique is the best TIM for all TEC and phase change stuff, AS5 has some water in it IIRC and so it changes hugely at low temps and basically disappears after a while.

I've used both and funny enough, I've seen little to no difference.

Ceramique is the better candidate.

AS5's lowest rated temp is -50, and Ceramique is -150 so you've got a lot more room, but -50 under any kind of load is pretty rare with any single stage, and not often on a mach. I'd imagine the break in is far longer with AS5 though.

I've heard of ppl mixin them, but I've tried that and seen no difference either. If you can't get Ceramique, AS% can be used, but I also let the thing sit for and hour to let the paste settle a bit before using it so it's spread out a little more after install.

the ceramic is better than the vapo thermal compound. but the vapo thermal compuond can also be be used on the pins to prevent pin rot.

tbh i dont think you'll get a better oc at these already low temps lol

You can use ceramique in the socket but it is very expensive compared to dielectric grease.

At such low temps TIMs are less important than good mounting pressure.
