Hey, i have purchased a Mach 2 ST, i have used for some and then put it on a shelf....

But now i decided to try to use it again, but it seems like it dosen't want to be used....

The diods on the back are on constantly, but the last green one i blinking....

The compresser and the fans are running when i plug in the AC, and as dar as i know that issn't suppose to happen.....

So that is why am asking you guys for help.....

Sounds like you need to re-install the firmware - hook up the USB header and molex to a PC with the AC connected to the Mach - download the ST firmware from www.extremecoolingtechnologies.com downloads section.

You'll also need to load up the mach software to teh PC you are using to re-install the firmware.

I think, assuming you dant have it, that you can download the manual from there also.

Sould be okay from there.

Cheers

heh, thnx :D

Now my compresser is working, but i don't have a ASUS motherboard to spare :(

And i found out that asus is the only mobo maker that can read below zero degrees.

I have a MSI 875P NEO-FISR MOBO, and a 3ghz P4(prescott)

The bios temp is reading between 0 and 3 degrees, and the chipset is going crazy at 60 degrees....

So i disconnected the compresser pretty quickly or else i'm gonna loss my chipset.....

I dont have these problem's on an ASUS board, it reads about -40 :D

And the chipset temp is within normal limits.....

I have tried a bios update with my MSI, but no luck. I also tried calling the MSI taiwan office, but they just said that is was the only person who had ever asked them that question(why their mobo's didnt read below 0 degrees on the CPU) so no help there either :(

So the only chance i have to make this work properly is to find a ASUS mobo with 875P chipset, because the versions below 875P sucks.....

The Temp on the motherboard means that contact is not very good on the CPU - tighten teh head down a little more and see if it improves if not add 4 more washers to each bolt then re-tighten it should see a big improvement.

Also the chipset on an 875 motherboard will get hot - 60degrees is normal and using a mach2 will not change that (it will be that temp even if it was air cooled) - you can buy different chipset coolers for the Northbridge to drop the temps down to a more healthy 40degrees (swiftech and micropole do one) or you can buy your own 40mm fan and cool the chipset that way.

If you want a better reading in windows see my other post - listen to what I am saying and download and install speedfan.

Just because you can see minus temps in the BIOs does mean that the unit is not useable ;).
