MacBook Pro = Ordered!

Yup yup, you heard right!! The MacBook Pro was recently ordered about an hour ago :D

I chose the 17" model w/ glossy screen, 100gb performance HD, and 1gb (2x512mb) RAM (I did this so that I can spend WAYYY less and upgrade to 2gb for $166 on my own rather than spend $400 at Apple for it...).

Pix when it comes in! They expect it to be delivered before Jun. 2nd.

Hey mate you could of saved and got the cheapest HD and ram and did that upgrade yourself ;)

Enjoy it, although I wouldn't :p
 
Nice one Fraggles, and make sure we get some pics. I'll stick with Linux and M$, OS X annoys the hell outta me. Then again if I spent a little more time with 'em, I'd prolly purchase one too. All the best mate...oh btw how much did it set you back? :wavey:
 
Actually now u have OSX fraggles i might need to collar you for something ;)

ROFLMAO :D Hell yeah, now he can try and find it. Because I'm stuffed if I can!!! I'm guessing something to do with Kerio hehe
 
Ye u could have bought something similar to your benching rig or something like a 805D, X2 3800 or Opty 144/146. And still been able to get your CSS fix :(

But he still will be able to get in his CSS fix. He can still run windows without too much of a performance hit. In fact I have seen some people running games on xp on a mac book pro and they seem to run better than on an x86 based machine.
 
Fun for you man... Apparantly, I have a family friend who works for Apple (like, r&d or something atm). He was like, level 2 support (w/e that means) several years ago so if you have any problems you can't fix, just pm me and see if I can send it along :D (maybe help out with your forum too, though that may be pushing it)

I'd like to see that with the graphics card this MAC prolly has in it.
 
x1600 256... I would imagine it probably tears it up pretty damn good :)

And it's the OLD MacBooks that were having overheating problems, they haven't had any of those glitches for 2 months.

pretty much a 6600gt,x1600=:0wned: by bassically every one of the cards release in the past 2-3 ish years imo

but it should be alright for css,llwyd had one :)
