Elementary OS - Luna

So a relatively new Linux distro called Luna OS has recently gone stable and I've just installed it onto my old laptop.

I have to say it's the most beautiful distro I've ever used - it's super smooth even on very old hardware. I'd recommend this to anyone who appreciates a smart looking OS.

Has anyone else got any thoughts to share on this OS?

I installed it too a while ago but haven't played around with it much, just installed some programs (firefox, steam, vlc...).
To me it seems as fast as many other unix distros but it looks good from the start.

Ive never tried linux, but this is making me want to get a spare laptop and put this on for a play......
You could run it on a live usb for a test, but if your usb drive has slow transfer speeds it's gonna lag a bit. I've tried to run it on a cheap mediastar usb and it was lagging a bit, ended up installing it since I need a linux distro anyway.

it's VERY Osx that distro.. even down to the full screen icon top-right. must say I do like that.

ive got this in vbox at the moment its a very nice OS, and everything works well, smooth and doesn't have stupidly annoying transitions and stuff!

Apart from the bottom dock and some of the icons in the top left it's nothing like OSX...

I like the simple touch of a translucent terminal. Even right-clicking is a joy, all the anims are timed perfectly in my opinion.

You mad?! HAHA You ever used OS X mate?

The Linux Action Show (LAS) had it featured last month, it looks really interesting. Sadly(?) it wont be replacing Ubuntu as the face of consumer Linux anytime soon.

Or you could run it in a Virtual Machine, either is fine.
