Love my monitors

Hi I have 2 monitors a 17" Entuitive ELO touch screen (TS) (£50 a year ago) and a Sanyo 20" (£80 a year ago) and love 'em.

I did some software development in Thailand for a Danish company and used to use a touch screen there, it was fantastic and so quick to use so I looked out for one over here on my return and managed to get one, yee ha.

Even managed to get a touch screen watch for a couple of pounds in Bangkok, it was great, while it lasted!

TS screens are the future believe me. Time to go and watch the gadget show now, they have a huge 30-40" 'ish inch screen, wow that's a beast I would love.

The future is bright the future is TS

Touch screens are pretty sweet, and they're relatively good for general use, but sometimes i just think it's easier to use my mouse.

Agreed.

Real Estate > Touch Screen.

How often do you need to clean your touch screen? Mine would be filthy in no time (if i had one)

Touch screens are clever and can be really good fun, but I am not sure they are good for every day use.

Haing said that I wouldn't mind having one. :)

I don't use touch screen for every mouse click, just certain things like opening up apps, etc etc

BTW the screen is a little bit more resistant to marking, finger prints etc.

The TS is not a replacement for a mouse but an enhancement, sort of like the iPhone but for PC

What I like the idea of, is when I wait for things to load, games mainly.. I strech.

Soooo I could strech and click. :)

So in FPS's, you can essentially get headshots each time by, not using the mouse to aim and fire, but just touching the screen where the enemies head sits.. does that work?

Or am i just losing it?

Nice One

Nice one, so you want to use a touch screen as a type of wii, to get some exercise?

It could work, oh, AND imagen an RTS game on one? It would make you feel like a proper commander.

Reminds me of Minority Report, when Cruise is fiddling with that huge screen,

Oh, the ideas are flowing now. :)

Not a game player so don't really know about this one. Ask me one on sport!

However, it was handy for the parliament digital conferencing suite I helped to write. If you have ever seen the UN in conference with all the desks and microphones, that's the system I worked on (UN, White House, IMF, Canaidan, Malaysian & Thai Governments).
