So in my family there are a few accountants. they have been doing this for years and years, and have always used lotus 123....ever since the 80's....there a little older, and still use lotus. but latly its been getting harder and harder to keep lotus up and running on there newer computers. so far i have been able to keep it up and running, but they do a lot of work on cliant computers, and every time that happens i get a call and im asked if i can get lotus 123 on there cliants new computer in there office. this tends to make ppl a little iffy putting older software on there new computers which it is not designed to run. so it is quickly becomeing a big headach for me. wondering if anyone else here has experiences with this, and what the best thing for me to do about it would be? is there a newer updated version of lotus out that i have not found yet? or should i just get them to convert over to excel for there spreadsheets? none of my uncles or my dad (all of which are accounts) like the idea of useing excel, as they have used lotus for about 30 years now, and know every single keyboard command. they dont like the idea of being able to use a mouse in a spreadsheet, and to this day refuse to even look at excel. should i sit them down and make them learn it? im hoping someone here knows about this stuff and can give me some advice....thanks
