just arrived today via FedEx 2 HIS Reference design 7970's voltage unlocked and bios switched boy am I gonna have some fun over the next few weeks.

Finally a 79XX card that will fit my Alphacool water blocks

no whine at all that I have heard They are loud lol under load but that will be corrected shortly as my new parts arrive next week to redo my loop. I have already torn down my old loop and I am currently running on air (D-14) but I'll do a mini project log of the redo and post some benches.

So do I but nvidia don't play nice with my monitors display port and DP is the only way I can get 120Hz

Which moniter are you running is it a Benq?

Samsung SA27A750D it has issues with nvidia display port drivers. Its really more of a samsung issue than nvidia. Seems even though its like DP rev 1.4 and nvidia uses those the monitor sees it as an earlier version. The 1.4 rev is from the top of my head I cant recall exactly which revision it is. But AMD's DP works fine with it. And on another note its a 3D monitor and nvidia 's 3D while it works its not as good as it can be. AMD's 3D is more suited for it.

well so far so good I was able to flash them to the GHz edition bios. (stock 925) which increases the stock speed to 1000 and increases memory from 1375 to 1500 and uses lower voltages now to see how these babies oc. Wont take them to high until I get them under water.
